Anyone can lift a box. Bringing a 90 kg almirah down a narrow staircase without hurting the almirah, the staircase or a spine — that is a trade.
This is our labour-and-technique service, booked on its own. Typical customers: someone who has hired their own truck, a family receiving a container sent by a transporter, a shop taking delivery of heavy stock, or anyone staring at a piano and a flight of stairs.
Why trained crews cost slightly more and damage far less
Watch an untrained crew load a truck and you will see it: heavy boxes on fragile ones, the fridge lying flat, gaps everywhere, and everything leaning on the shutter. Two speed-breakers later the damage is done — and the driver blames the road.
Our crews load the way freight is supposed to be loaded:
- Heavy and hard items first, low and forward; fragile boxes on top, marked side up
- Appliances upright and strapped to the truck wall, never lying down
- Every gap braced with soft material — nothing shifts, so nothing grinds
- Straps, ramps and hand-trolleys for the heavy pieces; backs are not equipment
- A loading sheet counted at both ends, so the box count leaving equals the box count arriving
Single heavy items — our specialty call-outs
Fridge to the fourth floor, no lift. Treadmill to the basement. A 300 kg office safe. A fish tank that cannot tilt. We get these calls weekly, and we send a small crew with exactly the right gear — stair-climbing trolley, lifting straps, corner protection for the walls, and the patience these jobs demand. Most single-item jobs are done inside an hour, priced as a simple call-out.
When to book this vs a full move
If you already have transport and packing sorted, this service fills the muscle gap at either end — even in two different cities; we can put a loading crew at your flat in one city and an unloading crew at your Gurgaon flat for the same consignment. But if nothing is arranged yet, a full house shift usually costs less than assembling truck, material and labour separately — and gives you one accountable party instead of three strangers pointing at each other. We will tell you honestly which one your situation needs.
How labour-only pricing works
Loading/unloading bills on three visible factors: crew size (quoted after you describe or photograph the job), hours or half-day blocks, and equipment needs (stair-trolley, straps, ramps — listed when required, free when standard). Single-item call-outs carry a flat rate by item class: appliance, almirah, piano-class. What you never pay for: phantom "supervision charges", or four men standing where two suffice — dispatch sizes crews to the work because idle labour on your bill embarrasses us professionally. Two-city bookings (load here, unload there) price each end separately and honestly.
The safety standards your goods deserve
Back-safe lifting technique (bend-and-brace, never spine-twist), straps for anything above forty kilos, shoes with grip, corner guards on the walls before the almirah meets the staircase, and a loading pattern that treats the truck like structural engineering — heavy low and forward, fragile high and braced, gaps filled so nothing dances on the highway. These are not premium features; they are the baseline that separates a moving crew from four strong strangers with optimism.

Loading & Unloading — Common Questions
How many people come in a loading crew?
Two for small jobs and single items, three to four for a full household truck, more for containers and offices. We size the crew from your description and photos — enough hands to be safe, not so many that people stand around on your bill.
Do your crews come with equipment or just manpower?
Always with equipment: lifting straps, hand trolleys, ramps where needed, and blankets or corner guards to protect both your items and your walls. Technique plus tools is the whole point of hiring us over four strong strangers.
Can I book unloading only, for a truck arriving from another city?
Yes — that is one of our most common bookings. Share the arrival window and box count, and the crew is at your gate when the truck reports. We count boxes against the loading sheet as they come off, so shortages surface immediately.
What if my item is extremely heavy — a safe, machine or piano?
Tell us weight, dimensions and the path it must travel (floors, lift size, staircase turns). We plan these jobs specifically — right trolley, right crew size, sometimes a window or balcony route with proper rigging. We would rather over-plan than improvise with 300 kg in the air.
Is there any protection if something is damaged during handling?
Yes — our handling jobs carry damage liability, agreed in writing at booking. For self-packed boxes we can only cover visible handling damage, which is fair to both sides; if we packed it too, coverage runs deeper under transit terms.
